Oatmeal Chocolate Cake

1 cup quick cooking oats
1 ½ cup boiling water
Or 1 ½ cups of cooked leftover oatmeal
1 cup whole-wheat flour or all-purpose flour
3 tbsp cocoa powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup sugar
½ cup canola oil
¼ cup yogurt
Put oats in a bowl and pour boiling water and keep aside for 10 mins.
Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and keep aside in another bowl.
Whisk sugar, oil and yogurt in a large bowl. Mix well but its ok if sugar has not dissolved.
Add egg and whisk.
Add oats and mix well.
Add flour and mix well to combine.
Pour into a greased sheet pan or any baking pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips if you wish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degree for 25-30 mins.
Let the cake cool completely before slicing.
